The Light

The light grips my heart,
Stealing me away.
The light is beautiful,
What else can I say.

The light brings me joy,
Even when I feel dead.
The light keeps me safe,
And catches the tears that I shed.

I love the light,
And it loves me.
I need the light,
For it is my queen.

My life without it,
Seems dark and dull.
The world without light,
Is just evil and cold.

I see the light,
In my fantasies.
The light is calming,
And has beautiful beams.

The light is just as it seems,
Sweet in taste and brightening dreams.
Thus, in effect, brightening days,
And destroying pain with it's rays.
