Smoking Cigarettes

"I want to buy a pack of cigarettes...
So I can pretend to smoke them."

Every beautifully heart-stricken song
That we listened to that night
Were all based around just how...
Relaxing cigarettes were.

We're toxic twins;
Never far from a drinking binge,
But at the same time so hesitant toward intoxicating ourselves.

Cigarettes are viewed as idiocy.
No high worth chasing.
And in return:
A possibility of cancer
(Or at least blackeded lungs).

But there's such a desireable element
To smoking those fucking cigarettes.
That suddenly,
Someone can become incredibly sexy.

You'll buy a pack of cigarettes,
So we can pretend to smoke them.
And in the end,
We both know we'll end up addicted
Just like all those singers we call our heros.

And then we won't have to pretend to smoke them anymore.
