Get a Life

It's New Years every morning
Celebrating with a kiss
It's exciting and it's boring
Balancing depression and bliss
It's sleeping every moment
Wasting life on a pillow
It's pathetic and they know it
To let 'living' get so low

Just
Waiting for the Summer in the Winter
It's time for the cold to leave
Just
Praying for some sunshine in a small town
To let little faces believe

What are we doing here? What is this sense of fear?
What is this feeling fading slowly?
What do they want to know? What have we got to show?
Where are those shining moments now?

Just
Waiting for the Summer in the Winter
It's time for the cold to leave
Just
Praying for some sunshine in a dark cloud
To give little faces relief

Speaking like it's real
Pretending we're okay to feel
this way
And she sings:

"My eyes in the right light are the color of tea"
"You have to look closely to be able to see"
"Please get"
''Close enough to me"

Just
Waiting for the Summer in the Winter
It's time for the cold to leave
Just
Praying for some sunshine in a closed mind
To let dancing thoughts run free

Hush now, darling, won't you
Hush now
Don't tell, pretty, you just
Can't tell

Waiting for sun in the clouds

Something that's not really about anything in particular. It was supposed to be about how everyone gives in to this lifestyle idea that's fed to us everyday. We work, we come home and clean, we marry eventually, we die 'fulfilled'
Not my best, hope you like it. Please comment on this, or some of my other pieces. If it's bad, I need feedback to know what to improve on.
