Dreaming For Love

She roams among streets so dull,
admiring the cries of passing gull.
Stopping for a moment to take in the scene,
of air so fresh, and grass so green.

Overcome with tears, she lays on the ground,
For her lover had passed away with no sound.
The faithful wind did carry her cry,
"Why him? Our parting words weren't goodbye".

In slumber her dreams surprised her there,
Along came her darling, with empowering stare.
Took hold of her hand, careful not to let go,
then danced with passion, to discard all woe.

But sadly all dreams must come to an end,
She awoke with joy, for she had found her friend.
With relief in her mind, she wandered back home,
because she now knew, death wasn't set in stone.
