In The Dark

In the dark of night,
they lurk in plain sight.
Where the feared and insane,
forever remain.
Run, run as fast as you can,
if you wish to escape the dark hooded man.

In the dark of the night,
your eyes full of fright.
They creep and they chase,
you won't see their face.
About to catch you,
you freeze like a statue.
Your story's been told,
now your blood runs cold.

In the light of the day,
these freaks go away.
The glow of the sun,
bringing back all the fun.
In this brightest of light,
there won't be any fright.

When the sun goes down,
the freaks roam the town.
You escaped them before,
but can you do it once more?
