Untitled

Shiny and dark,
And laced with lies.

That's all I remember of you,
Your boots and your eyes.

The boots that stomped on my dreams and my heart.
The eyes that stabbed me
With stares, cold and dark.

The eyes that held more than you ever had to say.
The boots that took you away.

But no longer shall I weep with grief,
For now your loss brings me relief.

I thought you were the core of me,
But now you're gone, out to sea.

I stand on shore and breathe a sigh,
Look to the ocean, and say goodbye.
