In a Special Place

A thousand times you needed me, a thousand times you cried. If love alone could have saved me, I never would have died. My heart of gold stopped beating, with two twinkling eyes closed to rest. God broke your heart to prove he only took the best. Never a day goes by that your not in my heart or my soul. I'm sorry that I left too soon. I would have loved to stay, but you knew that God was calling me. To put me to his test. He sent the ones that knew me, knew before they passed away. They came to greet me at his gates, to enter his world of long time rest. You should not cry beacuse I left, you should celebrate my wonderful past. But when you look into the sky and see a shinning rainbow, know that I am watching you and your great achievments yet. Know that I am in a safe place and not in any harm, so go on with your life, but keep me in a special place right inside your heart.
