An Honor and Privilege

You break the mold that plagues this awful place,
You give the world its wondrous tints and hues,
A being worth too much to be replaced,
One so happy, so strong, quick to amuse.

Perhaps you came about by accident,
Perhaps it was fate to arrive out here,
And either way, it's like a sacrament,
For me to know you with not a single fear.

Such excellent acquaintance humbles me,
For I am but a simple young adult,
Wanting a simple life, I'm free to be,
And here you are, bringing unknown result.

Now here we are, now bound together so,
That neither of us dare to leave and go.
