Did The Spirits Lie?
Enigmas of the skies and flames below,
You who hide in daylight's gaze and night's cloak,
You all see everything and therefore know,
Thus I must ask, is all I know a joke?
Once, long ago, you made your voices heard,
You let a fragment of your sight be known,
The message was received, with not a word,
While promising bliss in the image shown.
But here I stand before you all today,
Now weakened by the weight inside my chest,
I turned to you, but was I led astray?
Is this my punishment, a lie, a test?
I want the truth of what my future brings,
No more shall I be your simple plaything.
