The Reappearing Flower

Once upon a while ago,
There was a depressed teenaged girl,
Who drew a beautiful flower,
It was so beautiful that the girl’s mother hung it up in her room,
And one day the girl came home from school,
Was so upset,
That she took the picture, and threw it out her window,
With much surprise,
The picture ended up on her bed,
Unframed,
And unharmed,
She got even madder,
So she put it in the trash,
And this time,
It ended up on her drawing desk,
And on it were two simple words,
“Live life”
It said in the prettiest of cursive,
The girl had seen it,
And attempted to erase the picture,
But on multiple attempts,
It came back,
It magically reappeared,
Every time the girl attempted to erase it,
The picture showed no signs of erasing,
None at all,
The girl angrier and angrier every time,
So,
Eventually the girl gave up on the picture,
And put it back in the frame,
And hung it up,
In the same spot…
The girl’s mother had come into the room,
While she was trying to erase the picture,
But the picture she was attempting to erase,
Was no more than a picture of a flower,
That you could barely see through the eraser marks…

The next day the girl had gone to the local mental institution,
And was diagnosed completely insane,
The girl spent the rest of her life there,
And the only gift any one brought her,
Was the picture of the reappearing flower…
