Timid

That twinkle in your eyes,
The one that you so despise,
Is epervesant in the night's sky.

It shines so brightly,
And lights the whole world.
You look away,
And cover your eyes.

You fear your kindness,
You fear everyone around,
And you can't get away.

There is a dullness coming over your eyes,
They lied to you,
Told you you were special.
Then threw you away,
Like you were nothing more, than a plastic bag in the wind.

Now, you wish to end it all,
You want to die tonight.
But something in your heart,
Tells you someone needs you,
The way they look at you,
Sometimes gives you chills.

He tells you, you're beautiful,
But you say it's a lie.
His crystal blue eyes,
Dig deep into your soul.

You slowly begin to walk away,
Tears welling up in your eyes.
He quickly grabs your arm,
And pulls you close to him.

He whispers "I love you",
As you began to cry.
You know he's like the others,
You know one day he'll run away.
