Sleep

To sleep
Would be an affront to my sanity
For my dreams shall now
And forever plague
The mind they dwell within
Ay, dreams
Though less than more nightmares
Nightmares I fear to be truth
Truth I hope to be lie
Yet I can prove to be either
So I sleep
I sleep and I dream
I find peace
In the shadows of my consciousness
That darkness that calms
And calm, I remain
Til Death calls my name
