Best Friends

We were once like brothers,
Always there for one an another.
Rolling along, running around like twins,
Going around like we have same skins.
Until that one time I fell for a girl I dreamed,
And so all of the worst things happened, it seemed.

We split up, broke our mutual rules.
We run around, with nothing much to talk,
I don't know why are you keeping your silence,
And always making a distance,
But one thing's for sure, you're never the same
As you took pride for yourself, and never got shame.

What am I to do when you don't wanna talk?
All I can think of is to stare blankly as if you're gone.
Avoid eye contacts and never chat up.
What's your problem? Bring it on.

I'm always here to make things right and running,
Not truthfully dishonest with me and backstabbing,
If you're on my shoes, you could deliberately say,
That even if it's not my fault, I would ask for sorry if I may.

If it's her you want, then I'd let it be,
Even if breaks my heart, I'd leave 'em be.
But you can't deny that I would still love,
That girl I know what I would want to have.
But because we're best of friends, even just for me,
I'd give way, and keep the winning hopes away.
As long as you two would and could stay,
I'd be happy and proud, in whichever way.
