Did you say Ghost?

As the moon shines bright across the snow covered mountains
The silence fills the air and the stars seem so numerous
The city below is buzzing with activity, the night life is quite alluring
But atop the highest point sits the onlooker
Watching everyones lives as they progress, for the better and the worst
A lonely spirit is the onlooker, stuck in limbo with the rest of those with
"Unfinished business"
Who's to know what exactly that is because it takes a while to realize you're dead
Walking thru walls and even the living is fun the first few times
As time passes by, it just gets old
Sitting on these buildings has become a past time
Especially since everyones lives are like watching a soap opera
From the time we enter school till we pass, drama will always follow
It may seem like it's gone away but it's just dressed up in a new disguise
People always wonder what the after life will be like
Well for the onlooker, it's like a living hell
Not knowing who you are or what you're destined to do
Persuades a soul to just stick around
Where is that door when you need it...
They say it just pops up one day and you have to open it
Cuz no one knows whats on the other side, until you get there
Sitting atop the highest point, the onlooker waits and wishes
Watching everyone live their lives like nothing could ever happen
Before a soul is set free, or trapped here forever
