Mommy's Dagger

Black outfits crowd around

A black coffin to be found

Up the road comes the hearse

Mother sobs a practiced verse,

"I loved my daughter, she was great,
She will be missed. How cruel is fate?"

From inside my tomb, I let out a scream

Each word is a lie, each moment a dream

Selfish tears are dabbed at with tissue

"If I kill you, my dear, will anyone miss you?"

She spoke that phrase before she finished the rest

A glinting grey dagger she stabbed in my chest

"You are the cause to all of my pain,"

"You are the reason the sky starts to rain,"

"I hate you, my daughter, you filthy sick whore,"

"And now you're a corpse. Rotting; Nothing more."
