Daydreaming at Night

Daydreaming At Night

She looks up to the sky
The moon cuts a sliver of silver light
The night is dark with stars glistening like glitter
The night is cool; it’s the end of winter
A small breeze makes her shiver
She folds her arms in close
Her eyes looking to the vast unknown
A gleam of light reflects in her face
As she looks to the sky imagining another race
A hope for adventure she wishes she could have
One with aliens and spaceships
A new friendship, perhaps
But it’s all in her head
A hopeful thought
But it suits her fine
Knowing the adventure is in her mind

This was inspired by my story that I am writing, "No Ordinary Life" it's a sci-fi. It is about war, adventure, space, and a new friendship.

If you thought this poem was interesting, you might want to check out the story. Its in my story column, the first one. Or on the second page of the stories tab, about now. The later it is the farther it goes down. So, it might just be easier to find it on my page.
