Love Is the Movement

Honestly she would open up if only she knew how,
I'll bottle it all up for now.
Truthfully she's past the point of trying to over come self doubt,
From the darkness in her mind she can't find a way our.

She'll paint her pain on her arms with a razor blade,
She won't ever care if the dark scars fade.
Safe from the voices for awhile,
Her hearts in a broken pile.

"I'm fine," she'll tell you,
But if you would see it too.
Honestly she wouldn't be like this if someone would just stick around,
Instead she'll lie awake and cry without the smallest sound.

Maybe one day someone will help her,
Hold her as the pain continues to occur.
The blood falls to the floor,
Don't just ignore what's going on behind her door.

It's not easy to be someone she is expected to be,
She can't ever let anybody see.
Her emotions are killing her again,
So she'll slit her wrists even if it's a sin.

She held on long enough to fall in love,
It wasn't enough when push comes to shove.
So know she cuts to try and feel,
Her life is what she wants to steal.

Honestly she would open up if only she knew how,
I'll bottle it all up for now.
Truthfully she's past the point of trying to over come self doubt,
From the darkness in her mind she can't find a way our.

Her dreams are haunted with what is supposed to be,
Nobody ever looks close enough to see.
The flesh is cut wide open in the dark,
Leaving a deep, nasty mark.

Love is the movement,
Time leaves room for improvement.
But she needs a reason to heal,
Something to remind her to feel.

She would like someone to blame,
But she is responsible for her self shame.
Long sleeves and blank stares,
She prays nobody cares.

She doesn't want help anymore,
She doesn't care if you call her a whore.
Shoot her down and laugh with your friends,
It's okay everyday she pretends.

Love is the movement,
At this rate she'll never seek improvement.
So offer and hand,
Take a stand.

Her heart is breaking,
Her smiling you keep taking.
All she wants is to be lost in her own dreams,
She's not as happy as she seems.

Honestly she would open up if only she knew how,
I'll bottle it all up for now.
Truthfully she's past the point of trying to over come self doubt,
From the darkness in her mind she can't find a way our.
