Falling Short Of Words

Trembling lips fell upon the bottle
As the rain danced outside my window.
Outlining the carnal masterpiece
I’ve belayed into my weakened skin.
Wrapped the fabric tightly around,
Find a vein that is not still healing
While a needle sinks below the flesh.
What more can I do to make it go away
You left me broken, scarred and alone.
Fingernails digging into my scalp
Oh, the decisions we make when
Struggle find its way to your heart.
Clouded visions find an unloaded barrel
And a solution to fill the metal void.
I am not safe around myself anymore
I am breathless atop this invisible trigger.
The bullet rips through my neck,
As the walls are vastly painted crimson.
The blood is only growing colder,
Yet I am paralyzed staring at the door
Awaiting the sound of long steps to the room.
No sounds are heard and I’m never to be found.
