The Spring Always Comes; But First It Has To Snow.

"Everyone wants happiness,
Nobody wants pain,
But you can never have a rainbow
Without a little rain."

Don’t see your life as a burden,
See it as a book,
Your last chapter may have had a painful ending,
But it gives you a different look.

Your sorrows you’ve felt are a good thing,
Otherwise life would be an empty shell,
For you can’t feel the touch of heaven,
If you haven’t been through hell.

So next time you’re feeling worried,
Anxious sad or low,
Remember that the spring always comes
But first it has to snow.

If one never feels hurt,
One can never truly have compassion,
The pain gives you the ability to care
In an understanding fashion.

Sadness is a lesson,
A blessing in disguise,
It lets you understand the way others feel
When you look into their eyes.

So I hope this poem makes you feel
At least a little bit better,
& Let’s you know your scars
Can help rid others of stormy weather.
