Curtain

Listen to my heart the hurt and all the pain,
Listen to me crying underneath the rain.
Don't you see what the world has done,
Taken me and now I am no one.
So tell me how you feel and why you hurt the worst,
Tell me I must take back every word I've cursed.
Innocence has faded away from here,
But not without a final tear.
So would you like to tell me one last final thing,
Are you aware of all the pain that you bring?
No, don't answer I know you too well,
You'd say you wouldn't do such a thing 'cause your life is hell.
So I take it back- yes every word I say,
And I'll replace them with what I say today.
You are not the victim you do not feel pain,
You do not know sadness and you will die in vein.
You don't know the answers written in the book,
Because you would be dead if you tried to look.
You are not crying real tears you cannot feel as I do,
But you frown and you will say, "I feel pain worse than you."
My mind laughs at the irony you will never see,
And I'll feel better knowing you will never be.
Anything but a curtain to yourself.
