The hand of darkness

It's the hand of darkness
it reaches toward the seemingly innocent
and twists there mind and heart
into something that it is not.

Those who wish to control,
stop and cease for this cannot be
you will end up breaking
and shatter the world around you.

I am one of the lost
but fear not we are not forever gone
for we can leave our mark
our footprint in the sand of life.

All that is required is to make an impact
shout loud and forever be different from the crowd
if you find yourself lost and shattering everything
don't take this method into consideration.

I shall stop shattering the world
I screwed up to much for to long
so I take a step off this ledge
and plummet into the great night beyond.

But don't give up there is still hope
for you are a star burning bright in the night sky
and all those who's day turns to night
look up toward the heavens tonight.
