A Ghost
I am nothing but a ghost,
Of who I used to be.
Not a soul I used to know,
Can even recognize me.
My once porcelain skin,
Is now a pasty, sickly pale.
I'm no longer warm and soft,
Instead I'm as cold as a lifeless shell.
There's no friendliness in my voice,
On the now rare occasions that I talk.
No more spirit to my step,
When people see me walk.
It's a wonder to ever think,
I was once that bright-eyed girl.
Now I'm just lost,
Wandering aimlessly in this world.
Of who I used to be.
Not a soul I used to know,
Can even recognize me.
My once porcelain skin,
Is now a pasty, sickly pale.
I'm no longer warm and soft,
Instead I'm as cold as a lifeless shell.
There's no friendliness in my voice,
On the now rare occasions that I talk.
No more spirit to my step,
When people see me walk.
It's a wonder to ever think,
I was once that bright-eyed girl.
Now I'm just lost,
Wandering aimlessly in this world.
