Trust

My trust in God
Has been so true
O'er these past years
that I've lived through
But there was a time
I wasn't sure
with whom to keep
my heart secure.

Few years ago
I witnessed this
a grandfather's
last samll wish
to love the Lord
and remember this
the death of one
you'll always miss.

My heart had felt
like it had broke.
My love & trust
for you I hope
will never more
be tried again
for what I felt
leads to a new end.

It was planned you see
as a test for me
to see how true
my love could be.
I've always loved you
And I hope at the end
my love will live on in a friend.
