Unknown world

If you follow me, you will be lost
in this world unknown to most.
In the darkness, there is insanity
but I find no misery. I find myself
in this blackness, a void that keeps
a hold on me. It binds my soul
and puts me in a cage. I reach for you
but you push me away, afraid
of what I have become
afraid of what you don't know. In a world unknown
to most, I walk amongst the fallen
who were forgotten and left to rot.
In a void created by the strong,
made for the weak and powerless.
I am neither, I bring strength and
hold back the inevitable. I keep the
nightmares away, I am alone
but I want you to know I will
always be yours to hold. In this world of frigid cold,
I have turned to stone
in this world doomed to be overthrown.
