Chronicles of the Phoenix: Part 3

"Fly"

These wings burn in passion. The feathers shine LOVE.
I fly into the heavens alongside the dove.

The angles smile; they bless these flaming wings.
They carry me away from Hell's heavy strings.

Though in rise and fall, the phoenix gives way
For the black crow of pain to come take his place.

When she flies into the heavens, the angels do not smile.
They weep for her grief, though she's strong all the while.

Too strong, maybe. For she won't accept their help.
For too long pain is the only thing she's felt.

In cycles we rise and fall through the sky.
Now the phoenix's turn to rise and take flight.

His fire engulfs me. His love fills my heart.
As the phoenix, I fly. And I fly from the dark.
