Brown Eyes, Black Eyes

We knew it would happen,
So why not face it?
The facts are decided,
We have to take it.
Our chances are slim,
We’ve hurt people on the way,
Most of all, we’ve hurt ourselves,
Like when in the music, we sway.
It’s ridiculous,
Closing the space between our skins,
Painful as the dying sound,
A newborn hatred sin.
Brown eyes, black eyes,
Meet and part over and over,
Breaths caught up,
You’re my life-size controller.
The master that will handle me,
Against my own will,
Against all the existent morals,
In me you appear.
Little did we know,
The blood had spread,
And with a short space for air,
My soul between your arms, left.
