Swallow Me Whole

Wrapping tight around the victim, killing it slowly.
Watching it squirm under your tight grasp.
The smooth, silky words escape your cold lips.
Eyes, cold as a frozen corpse.
Almost promising a short, painless death.
The fear strikes them when they feel the pain shoot through their small, little bodies.
It's always the same.
Small sounds of protest escape their windpipes as they take their last breath.
Bones crushed to microscopic fragments that even you couldn't piece together.
In a slight disappointment, you swallow them whole.
Wishing that one day, something would actually put up a good enough fight.
Something, anything, that would give you a good enough reason to let them live.
Searching forever and ever, never finding what you're looking for.
Know matter how many times you shed your skin.
Know matter how different you look to the world.
Everything will always be the same to you.
Your life will end in disappointment.
Reaching into the sunlight,
Maybe, just maybe,
You'll find that kill.
