Fake Minus Reality

Will I live, will I die, will I dream, will I fly?
Do I dance, do I love, do I sing, do I set to sights above?
Will I soar out into settings unknown, lift off, speed off all the way home?
Will I dream so much in daylight that my dreams and reality will form into one with a fight? Will they twist, will they turn until they can’t be differed, can’t be insured that I won’t sink into a deep mist?

Will heavy reality sink over your face, give you alarm to how I think,
will you shake, goose bumps filling your arms?
How much will it take?

Who would, who could, feel what you feel? Do you breathe, do you
See, do you feel what’s real? Do you stare off into nowhere, stand in the rain.
Dream of tomorrow then come back again?

We say hellos, and goodbyes, wonder where we reside, then look off
Into the great distance of the sky.

I burn and I crash, I lose what’s been lost, I choke and I feel,
My memory’s been slashed. Fires and flames have taken over my fate, you’ll
Have to fight through the smoke to find it, but you might be too late.
