Gray

It seems to be that when you’re around I can't be myself
You put me down,
You make me feel useless, and yet I still want to be around you

You make my heart sink down to my feet
You make me shy down inside of myself
You make everything gray, grayer than the sky of a growing sea storm

Your heart is like the tin man, nonexistent
No matter how hard you try to have a heart
You can’t grow one with the things you keep doing to me

Why do you have to be so gray?
Why do you have to rain on my sunny day in your pitiful disguise?
Hidden through lies you try to tell me what’s on your mind and
I can’t help but fall for it every time.

You’re so gray and I’m finally figuring it all out
Go rain on somebody else’s sunny day
Make your way into someone else
Make a fool out of someone else with your pitiful disguise
Make the grayest of skies in someone else’s life
