Peace And War

Bad is the answer,
To every little thing,
When I wake up in the morning,
I wonder what the day will bring.

When someone’s absent from a lesson,
I think that they are dead,
And visions of how they died,
Start churning round my head.

And then to my dismay,
They come into the room,
I suddenly feel the day’s not good,
Filled with dull and gloom.

When someone annoys me,
They get what they deserve,
I kick, or poke, or punch them,
What? They got on my nerves.

When I need to cure my boredom,
This makes me feel brain-dead,
I start drawing smiley faces on my books,
And funny cartoon heads.

Bad is not the answer,
To every little thing,
When I wake up in the morning,
I wonder what the day will bring.

When someone’s absent from a lesson,
I internally debate,
What has sadly happened?
Or are they simply late?

And then to my relief,
They come into the room,
I suddenly feel the day is better,
No sadness, dread or gloom.

When someone annoys me,
I don’t retaliate and say,
‘Fine if you want to act like this,
But please go away’.

When I need to cure my boredom,
I let the teacher ramble on,
I sit and listen intently,
Soon it will be gone.

Peace is the solution,
To help guide the way,
So don’t start being violent,
Bring peace everyday.
