Screams of Living Color

My mouth speaks no words,
Yet thousands swirl through my head.
I sit here silent, unspoken,
Like a book left unread.

My eyes are clear,
Though scream with living color.
I dare you to find my eyes,
They are like no other.

The screaming never ceases
Though it silent all around.
For only when the quiet comes
Do the sirens sound.

In this all too silent world,
My mind will not let me rest.
When all others sleep in numb,
I hear the shrieks in my chest.

Though I remain unphased
And appear to give such little show.
I silently close my eyes,
And give a smirk because I know.

I know they can not see the color,
And that the wails they cannot hear.
They are lost to a world of savage,
They're numb living in fear.

They cannot see nor hear,
Their world spins to black and white.
Though mine screams of living color
With shades and voices, dark and light.

To look to their stars,
To see only a sheet of graying sky.
For look to mine and you shall see
A canvas of blue and white swirl you by.

Oh to be so naive
As to think their life is a pretty place.
Though even more blinded to believe
Their kind as a beautiful race.

A kind of people that are blind to the light
And believe they see a spark.
Oh to think they see so well,
When they're so lost in the dark.

Their skies have been ridden with smoke
By the fires of lies that burn.
Their brainwashed minds locked in sync,
Like a monkey on a table they turn.

For they pity me for hearing color
And seeing so clear their sound.
Though I shall weep when they hear my color
When they forever burn underground.
