Not Even the Ocean Can Find Us
And to what extent do I owe this great apology
To the one who never troubled me so
But to cause my heart to leap
Into your hand and out of my own.
For I have pulled you in,
Into these waters so vast
That not even the ocean can find us
Nor the fisherman's cast.
And though I desire for your hand,
I know I must let you go
So that you will not drown
And float up all on your own.
But I can't loosen my grasp,
Or maybe you're still holding on,
And now I hope that you'll grown gills
So we can swim from dusk unto dawn.
To the one who never troubled me so
But to cause my heart to leap
Into your hand and out of my own.
For I have pulled you in,
Into these waters so vast
That not even the ocean can find us
Nor the fisherman's cast.
And though I desire for your hand,
I know I must let you go
So that you will not drown
And float up all on your own.
But I can't loosen my grasp,
Or maybe you're still holding on,
And now I hope that you'll grown gills
So we can swim from dusk unto dawn.
