Yellow

This stain is slowly sinking into me,
I cannot find a way to clean myself in fresh water,
All that flows beneath me is salt and vinegar,
Don't want to leave my heart out in the open again,
Not quite sure how I got inside this place.

Stay alive to corrupt my mind so I can't handle it anymore,
Stay alive to dream so that I can disappear like before
There's no hope if no one can see that I'm bleeding inside,
I need to exist and obsorb the torment painfully,
Would someone come along slowly?
And see the light that's still blinking inside of me.

If I fill the darkness with gentle lullabies,
If I fuel my heart with a blissful sunlight,
Maybe the dawn will break the silence,
So we can sweep through the midnight,
Maybe dawn will bring a sunrise,
And shine a yellow above the broken in the night.

I can't turn the light back on now,
But I've crossed my fingers in the pitch black darkness,
I'm praying for a chance to escape,
Waiting for the portal to open up and take me to the other side,
But I'm too ashamed to show the world who I really am,
It's no good when the sunlight is lost in the shadows,
(And no one can see...)
No one will believe when I'm hiding behind something that isn't who I am.

No hope in getting stronger,
When the darkness is slowly getting colder,
It's only a matter of time now,
No escape to the other side,
Can someone tell me if there's a light in my future?
(Cause I cannot see...)
No one can see that I'm wandering in an endless dream.

Fill the darkness with gentle lullabies,
Fuel my heart with a blissful sunlight,
Then dawn will break the silence,
And we'll sweep through the midnight,
Then dawn will bring a sunrise,
And shine a yellow over the broken in the night.

What if I've found another way to help me sleep without the silence?
What if I said I found another place to torture the darkness?
Maybe then will you return and release me from this violence?
Night time will fade away
(Fade away...)
When the dawn will break the silence,
We'll sleep through the violence.

Fill the darkness with gentle lullabies,
Fuel my heart with a blissful sunlight,
Then dawn will break the silence,
And we'll sweep through the midnight,
Then dawn will bring a sunrise,
And shine a yellow over the broken in the night.
