Superficiality

Drowning in superficiality,
For the land was far too dry,
But the waves rise up and threaten,
To take me away before i cry.

Emotions, like caverns,
Cut deep into the planet wide,
Too frightening to explore,
So I sit by the shore and stare.

But the tide comes up,
And tickles my toes,
Enticing me to run away,
Into the shallow waters a'blue.

Immersing my head,
In the 8-bit tune of the ocean,
I cant hear the wails of a frightened child,
Dreams broken and tired.

O' id grab a gun, and end it all,
If my calling wasn't so true.
But even then, i could be wrong,
In doubts the waves are friends.

But ill sail the sea, with paper boats,
Hoping that i don't get lost,
For if i do im sad to say,
The water will turn the shade of blood,
And i will be drowning, no more.
