Death in a Room

I once woke up to find everyone dead,
In a room where tears were once shed.
It's a faithful nightmare I would like to share
to convince you you are not safe in your bed

Like a dying man in battle,
I was getting so drowsy, I could not hear the noise
from the rattle,
I could not see anything before me
As my chest felt so heavy, like it was weighed down with
cattle.

I wanted to scream, I wanted to cry
But I was holding back, as though as I was shy
People walking above me, beneath me.
It's a feeling that just passes me by.

In a world where I cannot share what I'm feeling,
I can only look up to the ceiling,
And think about how I once woke up to find everyone dead,
in a room where tears were once shed.
Something that really gets my skin peeling.
