Our Fall From Grace

Loving rain like yesterday,
Delicious downpour,
To drown the righteous droughts.

Waves like oceans,
Fill unsteady streets.
Concrete jungle; man made cage.

Constant faucet; of god spun drip,
Tear stained earth.
Sour tainted sweet melancholy.

Beliefs like water,
Current pulled yet free.
Religion like the rain of today.

Blue painted teal,
Flowing down the gutter drain.
Beauty reminiscent, of our fall from grace.
