Ghosts Of The Ruins
Within the shadowed glen they dwell
Their alabaster flesh
Reflecting the ivory dreams of those
Whose souls remain
Within the shattered looking glass
Scars which rest upon the hands
Of elders that once
Roamed the planes like hollow wraiths
The footsteps having faded
Into the sands of time
Wandering within the desert
Their porcelain eyes
Fall broken upon the mahogany casket
As eternal proof
Of the vices of the vain
Their alabaster flesh
Reflecting the ivory dreams of those
Whose souls remain
Within the shattered looking glass
Scars which rest upon the hands
Of elders that once
Roamed the planes like hollow wraiths
The footsteps having faded
Into the sands of time
Wandering within the desert
Their porcelain eyes
Fall broken upon the mahogany casket
As eternal proof
Of the vices of the vain
