Domo Arigatou

I need to write for I feel I must
For all this has done is turn my sense to dust
Explain to me from there so far away
Why you're on my mind every single day
You give me sunshine, you give me blue
Skies so vast, I'm found anew
Please find your way to come back here
So I don't have to listen to all their jeers
If I need to stop, then you be the one
To tell me and confiscate my gold sun
I fear that thought but I cannot stand
Their demolition of my warm, special land
Though we may never see each other again
You've given me peace in this gloomy glen
Newfound hope I have hidden in there
For your existance assures me you're out there somewhere
Maybe I am in over my head
But I'm tired of feeling like I'm half dead
You give me hope that, eventually
If I'm patient, I could maybe be free
I tire of kicking and remaining subdued
So since you, I've been in a light-hearted mood
I scorn those who point for they don't understand
To be left so many times with empty hands
I love your thought, maybe not you
But always know one thing to be true
My voice and my name you probably don't know
But I must tell you one thing: domo arigatou
