Lost in a Land

A bitter taste does linger on my tongue
With a heavy brick presed heavily down on my lungs
I told him everything jsut the way it was
But still feel as if I didn't simply because
I still see you together, holding her hand
And I don't know what to do, for I'm lost in a land.
Indiffernt and uncanny you've been towards me
Ever since you set my thoughts away to be free
If you were going to leave, you should've told me rather than
Lost in myself and Lost in a strange land
I feel unaccomplished and annoyed for my attempts were vain
For in the end, I wa only a pawn in your sick game
The spirit inside you makes women hate wedding bands
They hate men who desert them and lost in a land
Your friends claim you're just thoughtful, how you don't try to be mean
But it doesn't change the fact you were, despite what you may seem
The butterflies you gave us made us feel special, loved and grand
But, just like all the rest, cut us loose lost in a land
A place desolate and bare with no water, grass or flora
It burns under its sun and freezing under its aurora
The horizon is nonexistent for the groundmatches the sky
No clouds or birds do touch the heavens, and I 've no idea why
My mouth is filled with dust and I'm bruised and drenched in dirt
Whether you care I'm here or not, I just want you to know
That when you were confused, as you claimed, you left me nowhere left to go
I'm stranded and disappointed, much more than I ever have
I hate it here, but can't escape, cause you've locked me in this land
