World Imperfect

In a world imperfect,
mediocre, hideous,
I am all set
and ready to lose.
Romance is dead
and youth is trash,
but there's no end
and I die last.
We try to dream
and end in wait.
Nothing's clean
but dowsed in hate.
Toast with poison
and dirty our tongues.
Sell ourselves
with smoke in our lings.
Dance 'til we die.
Don't forget
this is our life
in a world imperfect.

Genius is old
and so close to death,
while we've lose our souls
but so full of breath.
The past is sweet,
much better than today.
With each sun that sweeps,
we all waste away.
Age brings doom
so who could I trust?
Who'll stay true
before we turn to dust?
Could I love a face
in this dying race?
Could I go on
when I could begone?
This world imperfect,
I owe it no debt.
This world imperfect,
I could easily forget.

Brilliance is gone,
replaced with war.
Gods have won
and replaced art.
To ourselves we lie.
On lies we rely
and to liars we cry.
Oh please let us die.
This world imperfect
I'd love to forget.
This world imperfect
deserves death.
This world imperfect,
the only one I have.
For you, my dear,
it I would live and love.
