Ranking with the tales of old
About a girl who lost all hope
And couldn’t find a way to cope
One day her world came crashing down
And ever since, she’s worn a frown
She knows her prince has lost his way
He won’t arrive at the break of day
Like in the stories her mother read
Before she was found cold and dead
She was left with a father who could spare no time
Who was running from clocks with their silver chimes
So at night she lies awake
Her own life she wishes to take
She knows her prince will never come
So never again will she see the sun
