I Crawl, I Fly, I Scream

I crawl, I fly, I scream
I dance, I soar, I dream
I live in a world so mean
Sour memories of all that I've seen.

I scratch, I pinch, I bite.
Life is war so we must fight.
At the bitter mercies of bitter men,
It is our own lives we must defend.

I learn, I imbibe, I see
I know that to think is to be.
I am the driving force of a soul's cocoon.
I embody the mystery of the moon.

I color, I sing, I organize.
I open my eyes and realize
The Earth itself is materialistic
And I find myself becoming sadistic.

I defy, I challenge, I break.
I yell and watch the walls shake.
Because the more that I crawl, I fly, I scream
I patch up my tattered destiny and sew up the seams.
