True Love?

She looks out in front of her,
Sees his flawless face.
If only he could see her,
See all she has done for him.
But with all the others around,
She finds herself being pushed aside.
She tries to call his name,
Make him realize she is still there.
Sadly he does not notice.
She needs a new plan.
She changes.
Chops her hair,
Ditches her glasses,
Stops caring.
He notices her again,
Asks her if she is new.
He doesn’t recognize her.
She holds back the tears,
As she tells him who she is.
He takes her in his arms,
He tells her that he has always cared.
That she did not need to change,
For him to notice.
That he always needed her,
Especially when he thought she had left.
He tells her that he loves her,
That he has since they met.
That she is perfect,
Just the way she is.
Can she trust him?
Should she trust him?
She thinks about all they have been through,
And what is to come.
Maybe she should go back,
But will she get hurt again?
She decides that she will accept his apologies,
And take him back.
She just hopes,
That she is making the right choice.
