Six days

I'll let you think that I'm okay with that,
Just as she never was,
Now you can choose her but I'll keep my mouth closed,
As I'm not willing to start a scene.

They'll say that I can't talk,
When in reality I have more reason to than she ever did,
What was the point in being so close?
It was obvious all you wanted was her.

I'm starting to think that you were using me,
To get to the girl whom I hold most dear,
One day you'll understand the mistake you did,
But for now I'll get to her first.

I'll warn her for what you are trying to do,
But still it's her choice over-all,
I know she'd never say no to you,
But my efforts are not in vain.

She cares for you I know,
But she cares for me more,
We both know she trusts me more than you,
Alas we cannot know what she thinks and believes.

All I can do is hope it's not you,
You'll wander and waver between us both I know,
Stop flirting with me, we're over,
I said we can try and be friends to appease her.

Honestly I do not want to see you,
You're fickle and changing,
It's not even been a week,
Six days is all it takes for you to change your mind.
