Saying goodbye

Running never did anyone any good,
And we are not exceptional at saying the thing we should,
The world was big,
But now it's bigger,
Knowing that you are on the other side of it,
And we can still talk about fig,
And figure,
But now in the silence there is nothing we can think to say,
And even though I didn't say it don't forget me anyway,
And I know that this whole experience will leave m e and my edges frayed,
But sometimes when life gives you lemons you can't remember the recipe to make lemonade.
