Dreams

As the sun lies in the West,

I lay my head to rest.

I let go of all my fears,

Even though, an eerie silence fills my ears.

I finally drift off,

Into a world of dreams.

Dreams where everything is right,

And everything is as it seems.

In my dreams there is no wrong,

Nor will there ever be.

In my dreams, my heart is free.

In my dreams, I can fly.

In my dreams, no one lies.

No one sheds a tear,

And no one has one fear.

In my dreams, we all stand tall.

We stand together,

Never will we fall.

There is no hate,

There's no such thing as fate.

I control my future and what is to come.

Everyone is happy, no one is ever glum.

But when I wake from my slomber,

I come to realize,

We all have to face reality.

Whether we like it or not,

We've all felt pain,

We have all faught.

But that's life.

It's survival of the fittest,

You've got to fight to stay alive.

Our dreams are just there to be something for which we strive.
