The Poem That'll Regret

Is it possible to love someone who doesn't exist?
A character created in your head
Is it an illusion or thin mist?

Maybe it's what you want to think
That they are the "one"
Your missing link

That they "loveyouandacceptyouforwhoare"
That "I'venevermetanyonelikethissofar"

You plan out your future for years so long
"I'll be happy and I'll prove everyone wrong!"

You'll fall in love with someone who doesn't exist
As you add more goals to your 'Bucket List'
You'll give up wishing on eleven:eleven
Instead settle for coffee at a quarter to seven
While on your way to work, you'll turn down the radio
Stop at a redlight hearing a voice in your head "I told you so!"
Thinking of that time when you planned your life out set,

Then again maybe this is a poem I'll just regret...
