Overflow

Transient desires
on the banks, overflow
Foam tides pull away

pull away fragments,

ghosts of wants, hopes, dreams

Castle clouds,
black-purple like bruises,
swell and swallow
the blue expanse whole

Shallow relief,
refuge from the blistering heat
Descend,
and then repeat

Pause. Stop.
Rewind.

In the shadow,
let these two bodies
entwine and
save this fickle heart of mine
