Stranded Out At Sea

I think if you were drowning
And I was out at sea,
I'd do anything to save you,
But you wouldn't save me.
I think you'd jump into the boat
To rid yourself of fear,
And then you'd row away from me
To leave me stranded there.
The waves would toss me all around--
I'd fight to live for days--
But nothing could hurt worse than when
You let me slip away.
