Nothing

Whenever I’m burdened by limitless torment,
There’s only one thought that can comfort my mind.
Regardless of pains unbelievably brutal,
This one simple inkling leaves all woes behind.

Compared to the monstrous scale of the universe,
Humans are essentially nothing.
We are but glorified bacteria whizzing through a vacuum,
Stranded on a spherical rock.

All of our problems,
All of our gripe,
All of our pain,
All of our suffering,
Is nothing.

We are composed of simple matter,
But we don’t matter!
And because we’re on the order of nothing,
Every single thought that plagues you is meaningless!

So heed this message:
Let go of all the things that upset you,
For they are nothing.
Don’t make something from nothing.
Let go, and grab hold of all the tremendous wonder this life can supply.
Embrace nothingness;
Savor your short time as nothing.
